Blabbermouths

Some parrots
at times
hang upside down
from the cable cords,
enjoying a sway
with gentle winds.
I wonder why
they don’t perch
like the other birds
on nearby trees.

May be they detest
inconspicuousness
being so green
like leaves.
May be they practice
habitual blabbering –
disclosing secrets
of other birds
to the breeze.
