For the respect earned by the land
attention to it I demand
The crops it yielded so all could nourish
upon its soil all did flourish.
On behalf of each living thing
thanks to the land I sing.
To the streams of the mountains
you have been our fountains
Lakes, oceans and rivers
you too have been givers
For all that the waters do bring
thanks to you I sing.
To all the animals and lessons you’ve taught
the way of life you have brought
Your instincts you’ve learned to hone
yet beauty and grace you have shown
To my ears your voices ring
thanks to you, dear ones, I sing.
